Hacienda de El Tepozán      Public Restricted Access

Located only 2 kilometers from Asientos, in the direction of Tepezala, this hacienda was born as a primitive hermitage, followed by a chapel, and then a convent and a sanctuary. By 1694 was already founded the Real de Asientos de Ibarra.

The church / convent of the Lord Of Tepozán is a magnificent building, jewel of the colonial architecture in which the economical and religious past are visible. It keeps its immaculate ogival arcade, lovely shaped in yellow quarry stone, and a museum presents beautiful religious articles that shows the history of El Tepozán.
