Its origins date back to the early 18th century. It was formed by 1840 with lanas of the hacienda of Agostaderito. During the process of independence from Zacatecas, the hacienda was partitioned in cadastral registered, due to the difficulty to define the borders.
In 1872 it had a surface of 6,127 hectares, keeping it until the beginning of the 20th century when the politician Alejandro Arellano Valle acquires it and inherits it to his son Ramon Arellano who adds to the list of his possessions as well as the haciendas of Guajolotes, Chicalote and La Punta.
In the final steps of the life ot he hacienda, during 1923-1924, it suffers the attacks of the Revolution, with lands affectation diminishing the status of the latifundio.
