Industrial Infrastructure

From the seventies and simultaneously with a rapid growth, the State of Aguascalientes has experienced an economic transformation supported by the development of the industrial activity, the modernization of the services and the commerce and a strong impulse of the exporting activity.

In order to achieve it, strategies of economic development were designed during the last twenty years and since my point of view, they have had three principal axes:

First, the execution of hardly private and public investments in the creation of basic infrastructure to bear the productive and social activities.

Second, the creation of an educational system, generator of human resources with the know-how, attitudes and abilities required for the manufacturing activities.

And in third place, the promotion and stimulus to those industrial activities where Aguascalientes has substantial comparative advantages.

As part of the actions of the first principal axis and to promote the industrial activity was decided to undertake the development of a system of industrial parks to permit the efficient execution of the productive processes.

We should recall that in the decade of the seventy, the National Programs of Urban Development and the Industrial Development had as an objective the industrial decentralization of the three largest metropolitan areas of the country and, as a result of this, the impulse to the economic development of the zones of smaller relative development, for which was created the Trust of Assemblies, Parks, Industrial Cities and shopping Centers (FIDEIN).

Thanks to the Governor of the State, Profesor Refugio Esparza Reyes,It was possible to have included to Aguascalientes as one of the cities that would harbor an industrial city.

This was possible thanks tothe constitution in November from 1974 of the Trusteeship Industrial City of Aguascalientes, that included the financial participation and technique of the FIDEIN and the state government.

At more than twenty years of distance, that pioneering effort not only has been a success but the most successful one of all the similar initiatives that governments of the states have undertaken, because this Trusteeship is the only one in Mexico, that from the initial investment has been sufficiently profitable to create three different industrial parks in two decades.

With the process of industrial development of the state it is stated the need to create new spaces that permit an optimum development of the industrial activities, since 1975 it has been worked itself in the construction of a System of Industrial Parks constituted by nine large surfaces that grouped add a total of 776.6 hectares of industrial use and services.
