CLIMATE
 
In general terms, the climate in the state of Aguascalientes is of semidry condition with annual average temperature, of 17.4 C and an average rainfall of 526 mm the rain season of the year the registered rain are of low intensity there is a region in the southeast situated in a great part of the sierra “El Laurel” municipality of Calvillo, that has warm climate, and for having a so short extension if is not forth considering it.

It is also known dry steppe it is characterized due that in this part the evaporation is higher than the precipitation and it is associated mainly to vegetative communities of the type desert thicket and xenophile vegetation.

It is localized in almost all the state covering nearly the 86. 30% of the surface.
 
Subtype semidry semi warm (winter rainfall between the 5 and 10-21)
 
With rain on summer and average winter rainfall between 5 and 10.2 mm, it appears mainly at the center, expanding to the south of the state covering the following municipalities: Aguascalientes, Calvillo Jesús María, Asientos, San Francisco de los Romo and the Llano.

The average rain oscillates between annual the 500 and the 600 mm and the annual average temperature is superior to the 18 C.

The maximum fall of rain oscillates between 110 and 120 mm happing in the month of June. The minimum appears in the month of march with al lower range of 5mm. The hottest termical regimen it is registered in May with a temperature between the 22 and 23 C January is the coldest month with a temperature of 13 and 14 C.

The average annual rainfall varies between the 400 and 650 mm. The average annual temperature is lees than 18 C.

The mayor rainfall is in August, having an amount between the 110 and 120 mm being February the driest month with a value that doesn’t reach the 10 mm. June is the warmest with a temperature between 22 and 23 C and the coldest months are January and December both with a value between 13 and 14 C.
